Connect FirstPromoter

Connect your FirstPromoter account to Data Curator so your promoter roster and referral links flow into your dashboards. FirstPromoter connects with two values from your own FirstPromoter account: an API key and your Account ID.

Before you start

• You'll need a Data Curator account with owner/admin access to your organization.
• You'll need access to your FirstPromoter account's Settings.

Find your API key and Account ID

1. In FirstPromoter, go to Settings → Integrations → API integration → Manage API keys.
2. Click Add New API Key and copy the key it creates. Use a new key — not the Legacy API Key (v1), which Data Curator can't use.
3. On the same page, copy the Account ID — a short code that identifies your FirstPromoter account.

Finish in Data Curator

1. In Data Curator, open Settings → Platform Accounts (the gear icon in the top-right, then Platform Accounts).
2. Click Connect platform account, then choose FirstPromoter.
3. Fill in:
   • API key — the value you copied above.
   • Account ID — the value you copied above.
4. Click Test Scopes. Data Curator calls FirstPromoter once to confirm the key works.
5. Click save and connect.
6. Your import starts automatically: your full promoter roster and their referral links.

If the test fails

• "FirstPromoter rejected the request" — double-check both the API key and the Account ID were copied without extra spaces, that the key is a new one from Manage API keys (not the Legacy API Key v1), and that both values came from the same FirstPromoter account.

Good to know

• What's imported: promoters, their referral links / ref tokens, and each commission FirstPromoter records against a sale — approved commissions appear as the affiliate cost on the matching charge.
• Data Curator discards your promoters' payout details before storing anything — they are never written to our database.
• Data Curator re-reads your promoter roster on a schedule, so new promoters and referral links show up on their own.
