Connect Flodesk
Connect your Flodesk account to Data Curator so your subscribers flow into your dashboards. Flodesk connects with a single credential — an API key — that you create in your Flodesk account settings.
Before you start
- You'll need a Data Curator account with owner/admin access to your organization.
- You'll need a paid Flodesk plan. Flodesk only offers API keys on paid plans, so a trial account can't connect yet.
- You'll need the email address you log in to Flodesk with.
Get your API key from Flodesk
- In Flodesk, open My Account (your profile, top-right), then choose Integrations.
- Open the API keys section and click New API key.
- Name it Data Curator and create it.
- Copy the key and keep it somewhere safe until you've finished connecting.
Finish in Data Curator
- In Data Curator, open Settings → Platform Accounts (the gear icon in the top-right, then Platform Accounts).
- Click Connect platform account, then choose Flodesk.
- Fill in:
- API Key — the key you just created.
- Flodesk login email — the email address you sign in to Flodesk with. Flodesk's API has no way to tell us who an account belongs to, so your login email is what identifies this account inside Data Curator. Type it carefully.
- Display name — a friendly label so you can tell this account apart later.
- Leave Flodesk Account ID blank — Test Scopes validates your key and fills it in from your login email.
- Click Test Scopes, then save and connect.
- Your import starts automatically: your full subscriber list.
If the test fails
- Key rejected — the most common cause is a Flodesk plan without API access. Check that your plan is a paid one, then create a fresh key and try again.
Good to know
- Every sync is a full refresh. Flodesk's API can't tell us "what changed since last time", so Data Curator re-reads your whole subscriber list each run and updates what moved. Nothing is duplicated, and you don't need to do anything differently — it just means a very large list takes a little longer to sync.
- Flodesk doesn't carry purchase data, so revenue in your dashboards comes from your payment and seller platforms (Stripe, PayPal, ThriveCart and the rest). Subscribers from Flodesk are matched to those buyers by email, so someone who subscribes and later buys shows up as one person with one lifetime value.
