Connect Kit
Connect your Kit account to Data Curator so your contacts and form submissions flow into your dashboards. Kit connects with a single credential — a V4 API key — that you create in Kit's developer settings.
Before you start
- You'll need a Data Curator account with owner/admin access to your organization.
- You'll need access to your Kit account settings to create an API key.
Start the connection in Data Curator
- In Data Curator, open Settings → Platform Accounts (the gear icon in the top-right, then Platform Accounts).
- Click Connect platform account, then choose Kit.
- Give the account a display name — a friendly label so you can tell it apart later if you have more than one.
Get your V4 API key from Kit
- In Kit, open Settings (under your profile), then scroll down and open the Developer section.
- Go to API Keys. You'll see both V4 and v3 keys — you want a V4 key.
- Click to create a new V4 key, name it Data Curator, and generate it.
- Copy the key. Kit won't show it again, so if you'd like your own copy, save it somewhere safe now (it's optional — you can always create another).
Finish in Data Curator
- Paste the key into the V4 API Key box.
- Leave Kit Account ID blank — Test Scopes validates your key and fills the Account ID in automatically.
- Click Test Scopes to confirm the key is good, then save and connect.
- Your import starts automatically: all of your contacts, plus the current year and the prior two years of form submissions.
