The Affiliates Dashboard
<!-- Copy approved by Tatiana 2026-09-10; the assignment source was removed the same day (assignments attribute leads, never revenue). -->The Affiliates Dashboard shows what your affiliates brought in and what it cost you. Every sale credited to an affiliate is listed against the commission your affiliate platform recorded for it, so you can see revenue, cost, and the ratio between them per affiliate and for the program as a whole.
What you'll see
The top numbers (your key metrics)
A row of six cards summarizes the period you've selected. Each card compares to the previous comparable period with a small pill, and shows the earlier figure on a "Prior" line.
| Card | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Affiliate revenue | Paid revenue on sales credited to an affiliate, before tax, and its share of all revenue in the period. |
| Commission | What your affiliate platform recorded for those sales, and what share of affiliate revenue it is. When FirstPromoter is connected, this is the commission it approved, so pending and denied commissions are not counted. |
| Affiliate sales | How many paid sales were credited to an affiliate, and the share of all sales. |
| New customers | Customers whose first purchase ever fell in the period and came through an affiliate, out of all customers who bought through one. |
| Active affiliates | Affiliates with at least one sale in the period. |
| Refunded | Refunds issued in the period on affiliate sales, and what share of affiliate revenue that is. |
Affiliate revenue against everything else
A chart of revenue by month (by day for short ranges), stacked so you can see affiliate revenue against the rest, with commission drawn as a line on top.
Where the affiliate came from
Data Curator credits a sale to an affiliate from two sources, in this order:
- FirstPromoter commission — the commission FirstPromoter recorded against that exact charge, when FirstPromoter is connected. This also carries the commission amount.
- Recorded by your sales platform — the affiliate the platform itself recorded on the order: Teachable's affiliate on the transaction, or HighLevel's affiliate manager on the order. The row is labelled with the platform, or with your white-label brand when the account carries one.
A referral code that only appears in the page link (an fpr= or rfsn= parameter), and a funnel or form you assigned to an affiliate in Settings › Affiliate Attribution, attribute the lead on the Leads dashboard; neither credits the sale here. Money always comes from what your affiliate manager, your sales platform, or FirstPromoter recorded. A sale that carries commission but neither source is grouped under Commission without an affiliate so the cost still shows. Below the sources, FirstPromoter accounts also see gross commission, clawbacks, and the clawback rate for the period.
Revenue by affiliate
One row per affiliate, ranked by revenue: sales, customers (with how many were new), revenue, refunds, commission, the commission rate, and the last sale. The tag under the name shows who recorded their sales — FirstPromoter or the sales platform (or its brand). Names come from FirstPromoter when it is connected, otherwise from the name you gave that code on an assignment in Settings › Affiliate Attribution, otherwise the code itself. Click a row to open the affiliate: revenue over the period and the most recent sales with product, amount, commission, and whether the buyer was a new customer.
How to use it
- Compare cost with value. The commission rate on each row is commission divided by that affiliate's revenue. A rate well above your program's terms usually means refunds or clawbacks that have not settled yet.
- Watch new customers. An affiliate whose sales are mostly returning customers is reaching people you already had.
- Joint ventures. Assigning the launch funnel or its registration form to a partner in Settings › Affiliate Attribution attributes its leads to them on the Leads dashboard. Their sales appear here only when your sales platform or FirstPromoter recorded the partner on them, so set the partner up in your affiliate platform before the launch.
Good to know
- Revenue follows the Sales Dashboard: paid charges, before tax, in the period you choose. Refunds are counted when they were issued, whatever period the original sale was in.
- Commission is what the affiliate platform recorded. With FirstPromoter that means approved commissions only; when FirstPromoter denies one later, the figure here goes down at the next import. Teachable reports the affiliate fee it charged on the sale.
- Affiliate attribution is for your Data Curator reports only. Nothing is sent back to your affiliate platform.
